One platform for your chemistry company

Team management, LIMS, ELN and simulations in one ecosystem

  • Built for chemistry companies

Onboarding in hours, not months, with minimal IT effort. Templates cover recurring tasks, experiments and documents. You can create your own in a few steps.

  • Optimised for teams

One system for everyone in the company, not just for the lab. The platform fits into your existing company structure, with levels for staff and teams.

  • Hosting in Germany, data sovereignty

GDPR-compliant. High data protection standards. Simple data import and export.

What is spread across several systems today

Tasks, calendars, files, chemicals and lab notebooks sit in separate tools today. webChem brings them together in one system. Existing data can be imported, and whatever is created in webChem can be exported again at any time. More than 40 applications are available today, with more added all the time.

What webChem does differently

The chemistry tools are part of the application, not an attached third-party program. The drawn structure, the 3D view and the simulation all refer to the same compound, and they are built for working together: the people involved see the same current state without exchanging files.

  • Two-dimensional structural formula of 3-fluoro-5-methylbenzaldehyde, drawn in webChem

    Drawing 2D structures

A compound is recorded right where it is used.

  • Three-dimensional ball-and-stick model of a molecule with one substructure highlighted in colour

    Viewing molecules in 3D

The same compound in space, without switching to a second program.

  • Application window showing the molecule indigo and a calculated absorption spectrum, next to it the resulting colour

    Modern simulations

Calculated properties belong to the same record as the structure and the documentation.

Born out of real need

webChem did not start on the drawing board: the platform has been developed and used in our own day-to-day work since 2016. Version 3.0 is the third complete technical overhaul.

  1. 2016

    Version 1.0: webQM

The first version of the platform brought simulations into the browser, with no local installation at all.

  2. 2019

    Version 2.0: webChem

The feature set grew substantially, to better organise our own company. The platform took its present name.

  3. 2021

Version 2.5: opened up to others

The platform opened up to further companies and to schools.

  4. 2026

    Version 3.0: today

The third complete technical overhaul; the scope now comprises more than 40 applications.
